SALT Great Teacher: Professor Margaret Montoya (University of New Mexico) former SALT co-president, and retiring this year from years of service at University of New Mexico in administration, the law school, and the medical school, has been named SALT’s 2013 Great Teacher.

SALT M. Shanara Gilbert Human Rights Award: Norris Henderson, a civil and human rights advocate in Louisiana, whose own compelling story includes 27 years of wrongful incarceration in Angola Prison.
