Thomas Jefferson Looking for Visitors

2012-2013 Academic Year--Torts, Contracts, Property, and Civil Procedure

THOMAS JEFFERSON SCHOOL OF LAW invites applications for visiting faculty positions in the 2012-13 academic year.  We seek visitors for the fall and spring semesters to teach Torts, Contracts, Property, and Civil Procedure. Depending upon fit, the visits may be either a semester or a year.

Entry-level and experienced applicants are welcome.  Applicants should have a record of (or potential for) significant achievement as scholars and teachers.  Members of minority groups and others whose backgrounds will contribute to the diversity of the faculty are especially encouraged to apply.

Thomas Jefferson School of Law is an independent, fully ABA-approved, AALS member law school located in San Diego, California.  Our dynamic, collegial, and diverse faculty is highly prolific, having authored more than fifty books and 550 law review articles.  More than half of our 42 full-time faculty members have joined the school since 2000.  This fall, we started our first full year in our new, eight story, 177,000 square foot, state-of-the-art LEED-gold facility in the East Village section of downtown San Diego.

Applicants should e-mail a cover letter, resume, and other application materials to Alex Kreit, Faculty Appointments Committee, akreit@tjsl.edu.  Please put  “Visiting Faculty Application,” followed by your name, in the e-mail subject line.
