SALT Reps at Law Schools

Our goal is to have A SALT Representative in place at every law school by the end of this academic year.  We want to have a SALT presence throughout the academy.

Do you want to be a SALT Rep?

Each SALT Representative will serve a term of two years and perform the following functions:

•    Keep colleagues and schools informed about SALT's activities and initiatives.
•    Convey to the SALT Board colleagues’ concerns and relevant issues faced by schools.
•    Propose policies and programs for adoption by the SALT Board.
•    Make recommendations for suitable candidates for the SALT Board.
•    Encourage public interest oriented students to attend SALT’s regional public interest / social justice  retreats.
•    Encourage colleagues who are interested in social justice, diversity, and academic excellence to join SALT and renew their membership regularly.
•    Facilitate participation of each law school in SALT’s Annual Salary Survey.

SALT membership and activism is needed today as budgets constrict and we need to ensure that diversity and social justice are not just issues for more prosperous times.

Community-building efforts, such as serving as the SALT Representative for your school, will help advance SALT’s goals. Want to learn more about being a law school REP? Contact Olympia Duhart who is chairing the committee.
