SALT joined other human rights groups urgin President-Elect Obama to consider pursuing investigations and prosecutions of those responsible for authorizing torture of "war on terror" suspects. 

SALT Co-President Margaret Martin Barry is named the William Pincus Award recipient by Clinical Legal Education Section of the AALS. 

Raquel Aldana and Steve Bender were elected SALT's co-presidents elect, along with new board members Ngai Pindell, Ben Davis, Jackie Gardina, and Olympia Duhart.  Bryan Adamson, Jane Dolkart, Avi Soifer, and Kellye Testy are re-elected for additional terms.
