Raquel Aldana and Steve Bender were elected SALT's co-presidents elect, along with new board members Ngai Pindell, Ben Davis, Jackie Gardina, and Olympia Duhart.  Bryan Adamson, Jane Dolkart, Avi Soifer, and Kellye Testy are re-elected for additional terms.

SALT co-president elect Steven Bender wins 2008 Oregon Book Award for One Night in America: Robert Kennedy, Cesar Chavez, and the Dream of Dignity. 

With anti-affirmative action initiatives on the November 4th ballot in Nebraska and Colorado, SALT has created three short films that inform voters about the benefits of living in a diverse society where everyone has a chance to show their stuff. 

SALT joins as amicus to ensure right to counsel at jail house bail hearings in Maryland Court of Appeals.
