  • SALT is governed by a 30 member board of governors elected by the membership in three-year terms.

  • SALT's committees examine critical issues facing the legal academy and profession: academic freedom, equal opportunity, issues in legal education (how we teach, what we teach, and who attends law school, judicial and government nominations, LGBT, and human rights.

  • SALT's national office is housed in the Public Advocacy Center of Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

  • For over thirty-five years, SALT has been a community of progressive law teachers working for justice, diversity, and academic excellence.

  • SALT values teaching that combines excellence and a passion for social justice.

  • SALT recognizes the contributions of activists whose passion for social justice has driven their lives.
