Since 2003, LatCrit has institutionalized its commitment to help progressive students and recent alums prepare for and succeed in law teaching and the production of critical sociolegal scholarship through its Student Scholar Program (SSP).

SEPTEMBER 1, 2010: DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING A DRAFT MANUSCRIPT
The Clinical Law Review Writers' Workshop provides an opportunity for clinical teachers who are writing about any subject (clinical pedagogy, substantive law, interdisciplinary analysis, empirical work, etc.) to meet with other clinicians writing on similar topics to discuss their works-in-progress and brainstorm ideas for further development of their articles. Attendees will meet in small groups organized by the subject matter in which they are writing. Each group will "workshop" the draft of each member of the group.
The Columbia Journal of Race and Law (CJRL) is now accepting submissions of articles, essays and other original works for possible publication in the Fall 2010 edition of the Journal.
A research grant proposal has been submitted to LSAC for funding to support field testing of alternative assessments to the LSAT to increase diversity matriculates. Principal investigators are seeking law schools to participate in the field testing to implement an alternative admissions index.
