Having written so many things about accountability for torture this December, it occurred to me that something hopeful might be in order to keep inspiration strong for those who keep pressing forward for accountability.

The key lines for everyone working to help humanity to progress, I think are.
“No troubles ever gonna take anything away from (you)!”
“No one is ever gonna take anything from (you) again!”
Our human rights are inherent whether or not states have trouble recognizing and enforcing them.
