Defending the Rule of Law
The Role of Legal Education
Please join us for the second week of our virtual series articulating the scope of the constitutional crisis we face and providing opportunities to think together about effective strategies for resistance in this new political environment.
This Webinar will take a 360-degree institutional approach to assessing legal education threats. As the Society of American Law Teachers, we are committed to approaching our organizing strategically and inclusively knowing that all constituencies in legal education are vulnerable and affected. Even among teachers, we have varied threats depending on geography, institutional affiliation, status, etc. This panel will feature dialogue about students, staff, institutions, and finances to reveal that we must respond to institutional threats with collective responses.
Hosted by Beto Juárez, Nova Southeastern, the panel includes Nicole Dyszlewski, Law Librarian, Roger Williams University, Bennett Capers, Fordham Law faculty, Miriam Sopin-Vilme, American University law student, and David Jaffe, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, American University College of Law.
